Singapore Food Galore Part 2. (Meats of many kinds)
Meats. Red or White?
ONzLAH was told that there is an award winning stall just located at Jln Besar Hawker Center. The stall, Lao Liang (Old Couple)) sell Pork dishes as well as Shark Meat. Yes you heard me. SHARK MEAT.
The pork dishes served was well marinated and was cooked just right.
The shark meat that was served was well cooked and you will not know that it's shark until you realised what is written on their signboard. "Great White Shark"
Anyway the stall is currently operated by a friendly couple. That is good enough for us anytime. The price is reasonable and what else could we ask for.

Questions needs Answers
Questions and Answers. Questions needs to be answer and I think this article serves the purpose.
We received some questions over the weekend so dear Tennas decided that he will try his best to answer them.
In response to some queries from one Mr Loh on one of the assignments which ONzLAH posted for models to take up an charity event. His questions mainly revolve around three main points.
1) If there is a Charity Event in December, why his model friends are not aware and are not invited to the event?
Answer from ONzLAH: ONzLAH is a Concierge Service. We do not manipulate client's decision to hire who nor do we have a say as to who should be at the event.
As we have briefed the Models we interviewed, we have clearly stated that it will be a Private Charity event planned for December thus it will be the client's decision to announce the actual event through client's own Event Planning Committee.
ONzLAH simply assist the client in providing a list of models for the Event Planning Committee to choose from.
2) If it is a Charity Event, how come your client is willing to pay $***@hour? Shouldn't it be free?
Answer from ONzLAH: Nothing in life comes free even for the case of Charity. As I have mentioned, ONzLAH simply assist the client in providing a list of models for the Event Planning Committee to choose from.
The amount to pay is decided by the Client. ONzLAH will pay according what the Client instructs.
3) If your Client is willing to pay $*** for Charity event. The whole thing sounds dodgey! Maybe that's why my friends are not invited.
Answer from ONzLAH: My emphasis on this issue is that we do not decide the guest lists nor do we have a say as to who should be at the event.
Dodgey Services? I believe on July 2nd 2008, ONzLAH published a notice against immoral services provided by models during assignments. ONzLAH not only condemns such acts but will immediately terminate and ban the use of Models who are known to have provide such services.
For any events or private functions, ONzLAH will assign Nannies to ensure the safety of the Models. Our clients are also briefed that we at ONzLAH are not Social Escort Services nor are we providing any "Specials".
We recieved another Query from Miss Khan.
1) Who is the Client and what is the Selection Criteria?
Answer from ONzLAH: At a Concierge Service, We keep the identity of our Clients' confidential. So as to say, Unless the client wishes to reveal their identity, our mouth and fingers are zipped.
As for the selection criteria, ONzLAH will do the first round of interview and all the consolidated information will be presented to the client for selection. The selection will be based on the Client but not on ONzLAH.
I hope the above questions will help clear some doubts. ONzLAH will follow strict regulations defined in the Statues of the Republic of Singapore in our assignments and works towards accomplishing Client's needs and at the same time Protecting our work partners'safety and interests.
One Question from Mr Felix.
1) Why did ONzLAH use photos that belongs to other photographers without permission?
Answer from ONzLAH: ONzLAH would like to ensure all Photographs used by ONzLAH belongs to our ONzLAH's in house Photographers and all photographs used have been endorsed and granted permission by our models backed with Release Forms.
In the case of Models used pictures taken by other photographers to apply for our ONzLAH assignment, ONzLAH will not take any responsibility to what the Models send us as we have no control to what the models will send us.

Singapore Food Galore Part 1. (Laksa anyone?)
We love good food. especially good food that is cooked the traditional way.
Along Townshend Road which junction Jln Besar Road, we were told that there is a Laksa stall that cooks it the traditional way. They have one of the best Laksa Gravy . Why is that so? I believe it is beacuse the stall is Charcoal Powered.
ONz tried and and ONz confirmed that their Gravy is thick and aromatic. Maybe it is due the the gravy being cooked so slowly with charcoal fire that the taste of the ingredients mixed so smoothly with each other.

Quan Xiang Yuan Seafood Restaurant is located at 252 Jln Besar Road junction Plumer Road. You have to look really hard because it is a restaurant hidden among a row of pre-war shophouses. Ask some of the experienced cab drivers and they will be driving you there with no questions asked.

What's so special about this seafood restaurant? I am not sure if you ask me. It is not a posh restaurant neither is there any long queue that can catch anyone's attention. My first impression to this place? It's just an Ordinary Restaurant.
Onz went, Onz eat and ONz came out singing a different tune.

Ask some of the experienced cab drivers and they will be driving you there with no questions asked.Let's talk about the food. They serve Hokkien (or Fujian as some would call) Food. So how good are they? FANTASTICABULUS. Authentic Hokkien Style food.
As for the service... Just prepare yourself for some culture shock. Most of the staffs (Except for one) in the restaurant are helpful and polite enough and the Boss of the restaurant, a friendly man always there to make sure his guests are well fed and well explained n the food they ordered. You just have to spend some time to identify the boss. Dispite of having many staff running around, the boss will still serve dishes, take orders and clean tables.
Ok do visit this Seafood Restaurant if you crave for Hokkien Food next ime. Just remember though, Call and make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Even with reservation, They will only hold the table for 10 minutes.

Decision to move out of our webspace.
After much struggling and discussions, The committee have decided that we should close down our ONzLAH Forum for future cost savings. The economy is bad and thus it will be everyone's responsibility to help our small business save some pennies.

We have kind of decided that we should move our website onto a blog for easier update. Ok, Tennas who is the web master for ONzLAH.COM is turning alittle too lazy to lift his chubby fingers too much.
Kind of reminds me of the space migrants in Wall.E.
Ok, back to the more serious issues. ONzLAH.COM will be putting up in Blogger instead of our previous website updates. We will continue to post in our ONzLAH.COM forum so keep an eye open as well.
So what is ONzLAH.COM up to of late? We seem to have disappeared as some would say.
Of course we have not disappeared. The team have been busy dishing out assignments for our clients as well as working on some personal changes. We will be releasing the news closer to the end of the year.
We are also planning for a Overseas Trip to Taiwan. Yes... ALL OF US.
Ok. Time to go now. Keep an eye on us and I am sure that you will be one of the very first to know what we are up to.
