Salmonella

Salmonella. What is it? If anyone ask this author to make an educated guess. This authour would have claimed that this word has something to do with salmon.

An extract from Wikipedia "Salmonella is a genus of rod-shaped Gram-negative enterobacteria that causes typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and foodborne illness.Salmonella species are motile and produce hydrogen sulfide."

The disease was found by Daniel Elmer Salmon, an American veterinary pathologist, thus the virus was given the name Salmonella.

All the long medical term on this tuseday morning is certainly a lesson to be remembered.

Last week, Rachel was infected with the Salmonella and was ordered to be in bed for a week. We are glad to inform that Rachel has since recovered. The only thing left for her is to rebuild her strength.
