The ONzCrew arrived at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 1740hrs on the 6th Dec 2008.
We took the 1840hrs Ubus coach to TaiChung immediately after we left the departure hall. The bus ride took us 2 hours and cost us 250nt.
We arrived at TaiChung Sec 2 Qing Hai Road at about 2100 and checked into Galerie Hotel. Took a 15 minutes break and started out to our first Night Market. Feng Jia Night Market!
FENGJIA NIGHT MARKET
Feng Jia Night market is located just outside Feng Jia University. As it is a weekend, the whole street is bustling with young university students. The place is pratically packed all the way till two in the morning.
There are lots of good food and tons of things to buy. Well, no one is stopping Rachel and Shirlyn with their shopping.
For now, it is time to hit the sack and take a nice long rest.
** ONzCrew would like to comment on the helpfulness and professionalism of the crew of Jetstar for taking charge of a situation that happened on the plane earlier. A Job well done.
** Things to note for those who wishes to travel free and easy in Taiwan.
It is easy! Know where you want to go. Take a map,buy an air ticket and fly!
The hotel reception is a good place to know how to get to the various attractions, cheap places and perhaps shortcuts.
** Galerie Hotel : Sec 2 Qing Hai Road
A wonderful hotel for business travellers. The hotel receptionist speaks english and are friendly when it comes to giving information. The rooms are clean and spacious. The shower room however is slightly on the cramp side.
There are free internet connection in the room and for those who do not have the luxury of a laptop, there are two computers for use at the hotel lobby.
Galerie cost SGD 141 per night per room as of 6th Dec 2008.
Nonetheless it is just 5 minutes away from Fengjia Night Market.
